Got Milk? Is this the Prohibition Era all over again? Real Milk if you can get it…

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

It is the job of certain government agencies to protect it’s citizens from harmful and damaging consumer products.

But what if the consumer thinks differently, or disagrees with whether a product is good or not??

Despite the bad Press ‘Raw Milk’ (as in unheated, un-pasteurized Milk) has received,
about how it can be dangerous etc.., it is still one of the best foods you can find out there for nutritional value.

The real disadvantage and downside is that it remains a bit difficult to come by, which may or not be depending on where you live.

This is the case in this day and age where we are possibly about to have the first young and black President of the United States of America.

Some have misinformed us that Raw Milk is unappealing or dangerous.

Raw Milk is neither unappealing nor dangerous, it is however far better for you than pasteurized milk.

The real reasons are likely more political than nutritional.
If raw milk became more popular, large commercial Dairies would have to provide a higher quality milk product, by raising healthier cows, and providing pastures for cows, the way nature intended.

This is best quality, but clearly more expensive, less commercially profitable.

Much like the drug industry, the dairy industry has strong lobbying powers.

All politics aside, not only does raw milk taste better than pasteurized milk, it also contains many more nutrients that are beneficial because they haven’t been destroyed by the exposure to the ‘Heat’ of pasteurization.

The choice is yours, both are available.

A most likely source for Raw Milk is farmer’s markets that are available even in large cities, on a weekly basis.

For more information on Raw Milk, visit the Real Milk website.

Real Milk, the food that has stood the test of time.
Be well,

Don’t Get Mad, Get Even!! Say Goodbye to Excess Fat forever..

Don’t Get Mad Get Even – and Say Goodbye to Excess Fat Forever..

Ahhh, if you are reading this, if you were tempted by the title, if you just had to know …

there’s probably something the universe wants you to know, and is trying to tell You.

Let’s start with the get mad part.

Well, that’s easy right?

If you are anything like me, the wind blowing slightly in a new and different direction could mean someone out there is pissed at you, and …

What I’m getting at is for most of us getting mad is a common occurrence, happens all the time, a daily thing, may be even an hourly thing, ooouch, watch out.

What gets you Mad? Do you know?

You could start a ‘Mad Diary’, (I think is just invented something), where you create a page in Word Document and when something happens and you get M A D, well you automatically have a place to go to spill out your frustrations.

Imagine, you don’t have to spin the incident in your head till your tired hubby comes home(as if he would really listen, but you might get lucky..)

You could IM your friends, or Twitter about it, but you won’t get the same relief that you are entitled to get.

So this is the basic idea, start writing about your upset, Keep it one thought, one thought at a time, one ‘Frame’ so to speak, like:
“ I’m so mad that my sister said, you’re getting better at xxxxxxxx, meaning, and the implication being, I’m not good at it now!!”

This addresses one issue, one thought you’re having, without more story about it or other thoughts that can be distracting.

Write down whatever thoughts an feelings you have about what you just wrote.  ie. “ Who even asked for her opinion..??”

Keep writing your thoughts, without censorship, giving yourself permission to say and feel whatever you chose, without guilt or consequence.

Keep doing this till you feel you have said it all, and you just don’t
have anything more to say about the subject, and you don’t want to
say anything anymore about it for now, or ever (whichever comes first)

You should feel very clear and empty at the end of this.

This is an exercise in letting go of your emotions, and clearing yourself.

If you do this, you will give yourself another option, another way to deal with your upsetting moments, and as you take the time to write all this, You will not have the time nor would you have the automatic reflex of popping some food or other edible in your mouth, which acts as a neutralizer or a buffer to the flaming emotions.

Letting go of excess fat can be fun, and you have a new tool now.

Use it and Loose it!!

Loosing weight is one reliable way of lowering your Blood Pressure.

Loosing your Excess weight is a most powerful Revenge! And it serves you best, and serves the Universe in more ways than you may ever know.

So go get ‘Personal Revenge’, the world is waitin’

Feeling Light & Clear is great also.

The benefits keep mounting… I’m losing the countin’

To your success and Dream life..

My best,

Escaping the Endless Stress Cycle – Coming Home to Tranquility… Inner Solutions for Everyday Life

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Do you feel sometimes like your chasing endlessly trying to catch up to your destination except that you have lost sight of even what your destination might be? Does feel like your life is more about looping around trying to catch your tail and catching your tail instead of catching up with life?

Well truth is, you are not alone, millions of people from all walks of life feel this way, and it has become synonymous with everyday, Global modern living, almost by default, as if no one has a choice about it.

This is such a common & widespread belief/idea that most often many people feel trapped and experience a no way out Situation.

This thought/feeling that things are as they are, and that none of us can change it leads people to life a life of upstream battle full of Stress, uncertainty, instability, and frustration at the very least.

It would be nice to have a way out of that dizzying cycle, a way to experience tranquility, to come home and rest a while anytime we wanted, by our choice, decision and our will.

Before we commit to a direction of a choice we need to know that the choice/decision we are considering making is a real possible choice not just an idea, or wishful thinking, a hope or a just a dream.

I believe that if the quest/question has arisen from within, then so to will the answer come from within.

A wise person said once that if a question didn’t have an answer in the Universe, then it wouldn’t be a question, that if a question is really a question, then by the virtue of it being a question it must have an answer.

We must seek that which makes us feel whole, and we seek that because that is our true nature, and we must be that which we are.

Even if we forget to be who we are for a time, or pretend that we are other than that which we truely are: whole, complete, and perfect.

Sometimes like children a Birthday party we dress up and play this game that we are clowns, angels, fairies, or cow boys, but at the end of the night the costumes become a burden, we are tired and weary, and it must all come off.

To experience truth and true peace, not only must the costume come off, but the mask as well.

We must see ourselves in the mirror, and find our true identity, claim what is there waiting for us, and be gratified to be who we are, celebrate it, and enjoy the gift that we have been given.

The gift, non other than we ourselves, the greatest treasure of perfect beings born into this earth to learn our lessons and grow.

If you need to find yourself, you must start from an original and true point, your home inside…

More on this in future blog posts. This was just a primer for many future lustrous coats of Possibility, Health, Healing and Peak Performance.
This will be a joyous ride.

‘Pleasurable Consumption’ – What is it? And Why it makes all the difference, In You enjoying & making the Most of Life.

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

I first heard of ‘Pleasurable Consumption’ some 10 years ago, and have since expanded the concept to embrace more and more in my life.

Most of us don’t live on a deserted Island, and more accurately we depend on many people, systems and tangible things moment to moment and day to day, to make our lives possible if not to make it easier.

Consumption is what you use in life.

Whether it’s your ‘fingers’ or your ‘Ferrari’, it is what you have in your life, what you use, make use of, and depend upon, the things that you surround yourself, including the people that are around you.

‘Pleasurable Consumption’ is at it simplest the idea of enjoying what you have in your life.

The simple logic being : that if you already must depend on a multitude of things to sustain & support your life, what better decision or action than the decision & action to really truly and fully acknowledge, fully use, fully appreciate,  and fully give credit to that what has supported you and made your ‘life’ possible as you know it , and probably better than you could hope for.

If you can live your life from this lens of fully appreciating & utilizing (which is the highest form of flattery)what you already have in your life, not only will this make your life fuller and more enjoyable, but is Most Likely to attract more good in your life.

The more you can enjoy what life brings your way, the more you amplify the ‘Good’ in your life.

Actually you can have it be ‘good’ by your saying so, because it is possible to transform what ‘ Is’ by the way you ‘See it ’ and ‘call it ’, so that even the so called ‘bad’ in your life, can have some good or benefit to it if you are willing to find the good and affirm that in your thought and awareness.

So as they say: “ Get rid of dull Dogs that spread Blue”, be the pack leader in your life, and have your life be just as you wish it to be.

To your Healthy Life,

The Hidden Culprit Behind the Silent Killer – High Blood Pressure/Hypertension - Choose Your Body Weight!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

You may have heard high blood Pressure/Hypertension being referred to as the Silent killer.

Why that tag?

Hypertension got it’s name as a silent Killer because often the are no specific symptoms that cry out as Hypertension (until complications arise/develop).

The symptoms of complications depend on the organs involved.

Millions have Hypertension, or elevated Blood Pressure and don’t know it, since they need to be tested ( a simple 10 second test)

Most people with high blood pressure are overweight.

Losing/Dropping ‘Weigh’ lowers blood pressure significantly in those who are both overweight and those ‘hypertensive’, with High/Elevated Blood Pressure.

In fact, reducing body weight by as little as ten pounds can lead to a significant reduction in blood pressure.

Discover what works for you to improve your chances of losing weight and keeping it off.

According to research or other evidence, the following self-care steps may be helpful:

Aim for total nutrition with a Multivitamin.

Extra vitamins and minerals will help enure your body gets the nutrition it needs, especially if you are avoiding certain foods ..

Find a diet that fits.

For long-term success, choose a healthy diet that you can stay with.

Creat a custom exercise plan, exercise you truly enjoy is much easier to stick to, so activities that fit your style, fitness level, and work out times are best.

Find Support, by getting the support you need, you improve your chances for long-term weight loss.

Join a group that is supportive, while you adjust to new diet/plan and exercise regimen.

These recommendations are not comprehensive and are not intended to replace the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. Continue reading my articles for more in-depth, fully-referenced information on medicines, vitamins, herbs, and dietary and lifestyle changes that may be helpful.

Healthy Food Tip to Reduce High Blood Pressure ..

Friday, August 1st, 2008

I just love it when I discover something in nature that helps with Health, especially overall health as in Hypertension & High Blood Pressure.

We as Humans have such a rich history we’ve all inherited by virtue of being born on this planet earth.

All the people that have come before us and left the earth plane, leaving behind something of benefit for us all to use, enhance our lives, making our lives a little better and richer.

It is smart to harness such knowledge to help with High Blood Pressure/Hypertension, etc.

This tip is something from nature, so in my book it comes with the highest recommendation.

You’ve heard how for years rolled oats and eating oatmeal has been publicized as being helpful in lowering cholesterol levels.

Well now, it is with great pleasure that I introduce a pseudo- grain (not quite a grain, therefore doesn’t have the same high starch qualities as some other grains like wheat or rice).

This nutritionally wonderful pseudo- grain, is a seed know as ‘Amaranth seed’, which is easily found in health food stores, and other food markets.

‘Amaranth’ is considered to be one of the most nutritionally wonderful ‘seed’ (they are really tiny) especially for Vegetarians, it is a totally Vegetarian product.

Several studies have demonstrated that ‘Amaranth seeds’ or oil, like oats may be of benefit for people with Hypertension/High blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease.

Particularly if consumed on a regular basis these simple foods are know to reduce Blood Pressure and cholesterol levels, while improving you immunity and other benefits …

Most fruits & vegetables do not contain a complete set of amino acids, so alternate sources of protein would be necessary.

What makes Amaranth so unique and wonderful is that it contains some very rare and valuable amino acids normally only found in animal- origin foods.

Amaranth seeds like buckwheat and quinoa contain unusually complete protein for a plant source.

This simple to do step/practice that can alter your life track in unexpected ways, if you implement…

Health is a choice, you can do it.

Start Today!

My Best to you,

Talia*

World Health Organization Identifies 21st Century Epidemic that underlies 70% of all visits to medical Doctors …

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

What do you think of when you hear ‘epidemic’?

Do think some contagious disease spreading like wild fire?

Possibly a virus, or an unstoppable illness, that’s out of control.

All the above examples sound exotic, remote,  and  conjure images of things that happen in faraway lands.

But the truth of this post is about an ‘epidemic’ much closer to home.

On the local front, the World health Organization calls Stress “the health epidemic of the 21st Century”, reporting that ‘Stress’ and the resulting illnesses springing from Stress accounts for more than 70% of all visits to medical doctors.

The question at hand is what is this powerful thing we call ‘Stress’? And why is it that it has such a powerful grip & effect on us?

Is Stress good or bad? When is it good, if ever and when is it bad?

What does Stress mean to each of us? How does it affect our bodies?

Is it possible we can welcome some form or version of Stress, and use it to our benefit rather than be overcome by Stress?

Stress is a word that reflects what we individually feel and how our bodies react to given a set of circumstances and demands upon it at any given time.  That was a mouthful…

The level of Stress we have is often filtered through our thoughts, ideas, our personal history and the decisions we have made with regards to what constitutes the range of what we will consider Stress or Stressful.

Often the stress is self created, and certainly some pressure is sometimes a necessary

push we need or give ourselves to get the job done. Guilty as charged…

For those reasons it is hard to say what Stress is, like a thing, you can point to.

Stress is moreover something we create and manage on our own, or with outside help.

We create the level and amount of Stress that is acceptable for us as a useful thing, and how much of it

we want at any given time, how much we can handle, and are willing to put up with or tolerate.

It is a large juggling act, that many of us practice daily.

Still, it seems wise to set some limits or parameters of how much Stress we will allow, to have balance and avoid getting too Stressed out, especially if we have Hypertension, or are prone to or get Stressed easily.

Be well, Practice Balance, Get what you Want.

Don’t Worry, Be Happy… Really? The Simple ways of Hypertension cure…

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Is this a trick Question? Is this like the, which came first puzzle? The chicken or the egg, which came first? And does anyone care anyway? Maybe…

Sometimes I feel people say ‘Don’t worry, be Happy’ as a way of shutting people out, or shutting them down, or not wanting to go too deep in discussing something, so they just blurb out ‘don’t worry, be happy..’ with a sugar coated smile.. What can you say after that? Who can argue with that? and then there’s really nothing to say.

So the rebel in me really wants to talk about this now!

What does it mean ‘don’t worry, be happy?’

Does hearing those words make me happy or low?

If  I’m expressing something and it shows some vulnerability, like maybe I’m not so certain of an ability I have, or not sure I can get the result with something, or I’m doubting my value, and someone said : ‘Don’t worry, be happy..’ that would be something very unexpected, and so long as the person saying it has a good heart and good intensions,  I think it would stop be in my tracks so to speak, and make be think about possibly placing more value in myself ,  perhaps putting fun first, and not worrying to much about the result so long as I’m really playing, and giving something my all…

Can we afford to Worry? Isn’t life just too short for that?

Can we rally not Worry? Okay, maybe Worry less??

Maybe the expression should be, ‘Worry less, be happy’?

I have to admit it doesn’t rhyme as well as ‘Don’t  worry, be happy’ but it sure seems more humanly, and more doable.

So ‘Worry less, be Happy’  or  ‘Don’t Worry be Happy’ both are good choices, and promise to normalize your Blood Pressure, and avoid Hypertension.

Nothing is worth putting your health at risk, having High Blood Pressure.

So go for it, be happy with what you have in your Life right now, and send Hypertension on an extended all expense paid trip or cruise.

Heck, go on a Cruise yourself.

If  Hypertension can go on a Cruise, so can You.

So be It.

Be healthy, Be well,

Exercise, the High Pillar for Treatment & Avoidance of Hypertension/High Blood Pressure & Many more Ailments…

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

Is exercise a good word you Love, something you Hate, or something you just Do.

Well if you do Exercise, whether you love it or Hate it, it is a credit to you that Do Exercise. Because Exercise is the one pivotal element that can turn around your health with so many ailments,  from Hypertension,  to Diabetes to Obesity & Weight loss.

Exercise can be a challenge for many, from finding the time to do it, the energy, the space, the strength, and the consistency factor, doing an Exercise regimen say at least 3 to 5 times a week is no cup cake.

However, whether you like exercise or not, exercise doesn’t have to be painful or a pain.

It may seem ‘inconvenient’ at first as anything new in one’s life, not only exercise, is a challenge in some way or other.

And in the case of exercise, as with other decisions to alter a condition or situations in one’s life,a definite strong commitment is required.

Before any of us makes a commitment for anything, there usually is a process that gets us there.

Conviction comes before Commitment.

And Conviction is preceded by experience, and evidence that points to the particular Conviction being the right and perfect choice, and that brings us to a Conviction.

The stronger the experience and evidence ( ie.as evidence that exercise is a healthy choice, exercise being a good thing that your body needs etc.), the stronger the Conviction to do exercise, or any other Practice.

Motivation or the Reward play a big role in setting your conviction.

We are all fueled by The Motivation or the Reward to do what we do.

The Motivation can be: If you exercise 3- 5 times a week regularly, you will be in better overall health, have less stress( studies show that people who exercise regularly,  do tend to have less stress, or able to relieve some of their stress via exercising, and are able to manage the Stress they do have easier than people who do no exercise.

I say all this  for my ears especially, for I find that often exercise is far from if not the last thing I want to do.

All the more we must all try to have balance in our lives.

Exercise, captures & brings that balance back to our bodies, minds and spirit.

Chances are that if you already do some exercise, you know the joys of pushing yourself past that possible resistance, to the other side of Exploding your energy vs. Imploding your energy on a regular basis.

It’s good to be alive, and to even have the ability to exercise, so while you can, do what you can and gradually stretch your limits, you’ll be glad you did.

Kicking the Salt Habit ? Healthy Substitutions for U…

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

So you’ve become aware about the perils or excess salt.

We’ve talked about eliminating adding additional salt after a meal is cooked.

We’ve talked about how eating out, take out caned or prepared foods, usually offers you more salt than you need.

You know most likely you’re consuming more than you should (5oo mg a day…)

And now like a good sensible person, you’ve considered you might actually do something about it.

but what do you do?

Well you know you can make an effort and get results, just by cutting back salt ever so little, and then perhaps a little more, till you ‘wean’ yourself from the salt craving/addiction/habit and lose your taste for it.

You’ll be glad you did when you discover you’ve Improved your chance of normalizing your high blood pressure, and avoided Hypertension.

As a reward for your devoted efforts, here’s some things to consider to highlight the flavor of food (as salt does). These are some alternatives, some other ways to heighten the flavor of food naturally.

One such twist, is a twist of lemon or lime juice, herbs of your choice, such as fresh or dry thyme a delicate herb, rosemary and Oregano for a stronger flavor, fresh or dry dill ( a much forgotten herb), even a teaspoon of organic coconut oil, depending on recipe, and if you plan and factor in the total calories.

I hope you found this post on healing Hypertension/cure helpful, and speaking of calories, i’ll be back speaking about that soon.

I’ll write about a healthy diet, that keeps you happy…

Back soon,

Talia Inanna*
